"The Death of Sorrow and the Birth of a Living Age: The Artistic World of Erik"

ABOUT ERIK, ARTIST AND POET OF THE 5TH AGE OF THE EARTH
In the winter of 2004 Erik experienced a vision. In this vision he saw the gathering of strange and marvelous creatures great and small surrounding one called "Lolindir ar-Feiniel", half-Elven descendant of marriages between the ancient and immortal race of Elves and three enlightened clans of Humans. Lolindir sent the birds of the air, the fish in the sea, the swift of the land to the four corners of the Earth. They announced the coming of the age of Ersarthyl, an age of true beauty and love. In his vision Erik was commanded by the "Second Oracle at Chapel Volonese in the Kingdom of Celeria" to hear their words, write some as prose and transform others into the images on canvass. An unwilling but obedient servant, he remains committed to this task with unceasing labor.
He says,
"My work speaks to the end of misery and hatred, the coming of joy, the triumph of love and beauty over hatred and despair. My paintings and verse amplify the inaudible voices of the ancient Oraii so that people may hear and know hope. I am their messenger. The time is near when beauty, love, mercy and compassion shall be restored to wealth and power in the West lands. The people shall be divided into those that can hear the great hope and those that are committed to the perpetuation of death, destruction, and the degradation of the human condition. The Half-Elven shall be restored as first guardians of the gentle ways and there shall be uncompromising peace until the second great reformation. At that time the Holy one shall purge all evil and establish the Ersarthyl, a City of joy. Until that time the gentle peoples shall be given respite in the outer most edge of the West."
Thus Erik shares with us the stories of the dramatic and invisible battles now taking place that shape the future of Earth. He writes of the great loves that define what love really is, the talking creatures that spew fire from their mouths and lay waste nations, the trees of Vamaryl Forest that have the wisdom of ages, the confusion of the common man who believe that skyscrapers, computers and jet planes are the only things surrounding them. He tells us the stories of present day descendants of the Half-Even race and of Lolindir their chief and also of the mysterious Third Duchess of the House of Lent. From Erik we learn of the fall of Lady Runera and the present battle to end 'irrational good' in the West. These things and more are told through his art and verse. See and be changed forever.

"Tree-Xarsil Hears the Song of Captain Ulrich Paart Concerning 'the Hope', in the Fifth Age of the Earth", by Erik, Dec 2012

"The Queen of Trees Sings to Blue Stones of Sound a Lyric for the Loving in the Fifth Age of the Earth", by Erik, 30 October 2011
Lolindir, Chief of the Gray-Swords, Marshall of the armies of the Loving, must insure that this song reach the ears of the Half-Ones. It is a caution that they refrain from the ways of the mortals if they wish to maintain contentment and establish "Ersarthyl" in the West.
"thus say to them to be content
that loving stay from mortal bent
and lay their hearts in forest's arms
so banished now their full alarm"

"A Gathering to Celebrate Tree Xarsil's Elevation to the Rank of 'Preft' in the Fifth Age of the Earth", by Erik Feb 2011

"The Transformation and Elevation of Tree-Xarsil after the Return of Trees Hiding in the Dark Caves of Brendhun Mountain During the Fifth Age of the Earth", by Erik, Jan. 2011
I, Lolindir, led a battalion of the loving to the rescue of the surviving trees of Ahmaryl who were injured by the greed and hatred of the mortals in the West lands and imprisoned within the caves of Thrin. By stealth we approached the caves and were detected by the mortals. They fought us fiercely and with much bravery and guile. Many of my soldiers of the loving clans were wounded. We fought three days and never once did we shed mortal blood. It was the songs of the Blue Stones of Sound and the roses from our swords that forced them in to a thousand year sleep. The mortals fought with great weapons of war. When all but two hundred of my beloveds had perished, I removed the great sword Udhhel from its sheath and wielded it with blue arcs in the air. From it came the light of Teleperion and the heat of the Stars of the third age of the Earth and the rose buds from the gardens of the 'Second Duchess of the House of Lent'. These were the weapons of the forces of love which confused the mortals and lulled them into the long sleep. Thus it was that we rescued the trees of Soret Vamaryl.

"Third Vision of the Infant Dhans Oeikten Concerning the Escape of Wind Spirit Lithlin from os'Chao in the Fifth Age of the Earth", by Erik 26 Feb. 2010
three pears aside the Thichler road
four hounds found resting will she goad
eight coins of sterling round at thee
your shield to crest on stormy seas
and when these things are past their term
the Half ones garnish fruit they yearn
to form the way of rational good
that man proclaim 'Esarthyl stood'

"The 2nd Vision of Infant Dhans Oeikten Concerning a Blue Stone and Celereion defeat of a Mortal Assault on the Armory at rn'Mhrmnth", by Erik 29 February 2010
In the Kingdom of Celeria, the memory of the infant child Dhans Oeikten had been forgotten. The child was born to farmers in the n'Narthyl valley during the Third Age of the Earth. At birth five stars gathered and consumed another star. At the age of 18 months the child astonished the village with speech of prophesy. She foretold of the battle of Ahmaryl that took place in the Fifth age of the Earth, the defeat of the Celerion Lord of Hate, and an an alliance between Celeria and the "Half-Ones" of Earth. She foretold of "Blue Songs" that would praise the Half-Ones in the West Lands of Earth. This prophesy was given only in part. Its other half was ordered by the child to be sealed by the Gray Sword Warriors and never revealed until "five golden apples give birth to rational good in the West." The child died at the age of 20 months

"The Enigma of Noble Apparitions in the Fifth Age of the Earth", by Erik, 2005
The first spitit was "Occiliut." It represented all the kings of the West that had ever lived. Its name meant, "they who were given the light but lost their brightness because of greed". The second spitit was "Mingiut" who represented kings of the East that had ever lived. The name meant, "slayers of the children". The last was "Unfoiut." It was the spirit of all kings of the south who had ever lived. The name meant, "they never saw the tree of light and remained in darkness forever". People, in much fear, heard voices of the spirits saying, "Look upon our failures. Cry for us who wander in the dark amongst bitter waters. Our pain is feel eternal. Bring death to hatred." Mortals were in danger!
